Royal success
Royal Ascot, 19 June 2025
In a stunning performance at Royal Ascot, Miss Information captured the Kensington Palace Stakes, delivering a commanding win for trainer Andrew Balding and jockey Oisin Murphy. Purchased by Norman Court & Susan Bunney, she impressively ran down the field to win by a length, despite the mile being at the upper limit of her stamina. Balding praised her progression and hinted she’ll keep her in handicap company for black‑type targets ahead.
This victory represents a highlight of the 2025 season for Norman Court. Co‑owner Peter Taplin expressed delight that Miss Information, destined to be a valuable broodmare, gave true joy and pride in her achievement.

Getreadytorumble Scores at Brighton as Banksman Comes Close Again
Brighton, 2 June 2025
Getreadytorumble—a homebred son of Rumble Inthejungle out of the stud’s own mare El Che—delivered a confident performance to break his maiden at Brighton. Under jockey Nicola Currie, celebrating her 32nd birthday, he stayed on strongly in the final furlong to claim victory in the Weatherbys Racing Bank Maiden Stakes. Trained by Jack Channon, this win followed a near miss the month prior, demonstrating his steady progression.
Meanwhile, Banksman, also by Rumble and raised at Norman Court Stud, produced a strong run to miss by the narrowest margin in another Brighton contest. Both horses embody the stud’s disciplined in-house strategy, from pasture to paddock, coupled with hands-on handling by the Evans and Taplin team.
This double effort underlines the potency of Rumble Inthejungle’s first crop and the stud’s growing success in developing young sprinters with speed and commercial appeal. The wins reaffirm Norman Court’s investment in pedigree pairing, consistent early education, and expert care at every stage.
Sixties Icon Retired from Covering Duty
Much-loved stallion Sixties Icon has officially retired from stud duties at Norman Court Stud. At 22, and still in excellent health, the decision was made due to declining fertility. He will now enjoy a well-earned retirement at home, “spoiled rotten” as the team says.
A Group 1 winner himself, Sixties Icon has sired countless winners and left a lasting mark on the British breeding scene. His legacy lives on through daughters like Crazee Icon, and through the continued success of the stud’s younger sire, Rumble Inthejungle.
